Every body tells a story. My work is to listen.

I am Bethany Galaviz-Edney, LMT, the heart behind Soul Purpose. Since 2015, I’ve been devoted to the art of therapeutic bodywork—holding space where healing and reconnection can naturally unfold.

Soul Purpose is located on St. Simons Island, part of Georgia’s Golden Isles, between Savannah, GA, and Jacksonville, FL. I also work with clients from nearby Brunswick and the surrounding coastal communities.

My Lomi Lomi journey began in 2016 with Sacred Lomi®. I’m grateful for the teachings of Tom Cochran, whose work helped shape the foundation of my practice and the path I continue to explore today.

Over time, my practice has grown into its own expression. While rooted in this modern interpretation, the work has inspired me to seek greater knowledge and understanding of this beautiful modality. I am currently studying with the widow of a Hawaiian Kahuna, and my journey with Lomi lomi continues to evolve.

My path with Myofascial Release began in 2017 through the John F. Barnes Approach. These teachings have given me a deep understanding of how the fascial system and nervous system work together in healing. Over the years, I have studied extensively, completing and repeating advanced coursework including:

• Myofascial Release I, II & III

• Unwinding & Advanced Unwinding

• Fascial Pelvis

• Cervical-Thoracic

• Fascial Cranium

• Rebounding

• Healing Seminar

• Women’s Health Seminar

• T4T & Skill Enhancement with John F. Barnes

• Quantum Leap

Continuing to refine these experiences deepens my practice and enhances my ability to support the body’s natural integrative processes and healing potential.

In every session, I bring not just technique, but presence—meeting each client with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for the body’s innate intelligence.

Soul Purpose was born from the belief that healing is not a quick fix, but a journey of listening, partnership, and honoring the wisdom already within you.

When you step into this space, my hope is that you feel safe to soften, supported to let go, and empowered to reconnect with yourself.

This is more than bodywork—it is an invitation to return home to your own body.
